Welcome to the Gilroy OpenGATE blog.

A "Blog" is a Web Log. It allows you to write and publish information to the web, and comment on other people's posts. A blog is an eay way to share your thoughts and ideas with others.
This blog is intended for comments by the members of the Gilroy G.A.T.E. community: Parents, students, educators, administrators of the Gifted And Talented Education program.

OpenGATE is a parents' group dedicated to establishing alternate funding for G.A.T.E. programs in Gilroy Unified School District, and using that funding to create a positive change in the district. For more information see our main webpage or our Yahoo! Groups page.

This blog is set up to allow anonymous posts, in order to give people who might be afraid to voice their opinion a chance to speak openly. I reserve the right to remove comments or posts I deem to be offensive, but I'm only going to enforce some basic rules of civility: no profanity, and no personal attacks. If you disagree with a policy of the district, find a way to express that without resorting to namecalling.
